Skyblur (hereinafter referred to as "this Site") establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of personal user information on this Site.

Information We Collect and Process

This Site collects or processes the following information to the extent necessary to provide the service:

OAuth credentials, session information, and account identifiers required for authentication.
Posts, visibility settings, list URIs, and other settings created by users.
uk.skyblur.post records distributed through the public AT Protocol network, together with information identifying their authors and records and information about their publication status.
Post URLs or AT URIs, report reasons, and report details submitted through the contact and reporting form.

Infrastructure providers may process and temporarily retain IP addresses, access timestamps, and similar information to provide network communications, maintain security, prevent abuse, and respond to service failures. This Site does not explicitly store IP addresses in its application databases.

Information obtained from the public network may include public information belonging to people who did not directly use this Site but created uk.skyblur.post records through a compatible third-party client or other service.

Purposes of Processing

We use the information we collect or process to provide login, posting, access-control checks, and post display; mirror and synchronize public records; review and respond to contacts and reports; recover from failures; maintain security; prevent abuse; understand service usage; and improve this Site.

Provision of Data to Third Parties

This Site does not sell information about users. To the extent necessary to provide the service, information may be processed by or communicated to Cloudflare, Fly.io, Tally BV, and the other service providers identified in this Policy. We do not otherwise provide users' personal information to third parties except with the individual's consent or as required by law.

About Access Analysis Tools

This Site uses "Web Analytics," an access analysis tool by Cloudflare. This traffic data is collected anonymously and does not identify individual users.

About External Services

This Site uses the following external services, which results in communication with each service. In addition, communication with the user's PDS will occur.

Use of these services may result in information being processed in locations outside Japan or the user's country or region.

Contact and Report Handling

Reports concerning illegal or inappropriate posts or infringements of rights may be submitted through the contact and reporting form. For emergencies involving an immediate threat to life, contact the police, fire department, or other appropriate authorities directly.

This Site uses a service provided by Tally BV to provide the form. Tally states that information submitted through the form is stored on servers in Europe. This Site uses that information to review reports, take necessary action, and prevent abuse. Submitted information is retained until the operator manually deletes it from Tally. After a matter is closed, the operator manually deletes information that is no longer necessary to retain. Due to Tally's deletion process, it may take up to 90 days for deleted information to be permanently erased.

After reviewing a report and the surrounding circumstances, this Site may, when deemed necessary, hide the relevant post on this Site, delete data stored by this Site, or restrict a user's access to the service. These actions do not guarantee deletion of data held by a PDS or a third party.

About Data Retention Location per Visibility Scope

The OAuth credentials and private posts of this service are stored in Cloudflare.
Public, Password, and Login-required posts are stored in the PDS, and the latest state of each uk.skyblur.post record published through the PDS is also stored in a Cloudflare-hosted mirror.
For Followers-only, Following-only, Mutual-only, and List-only posts, the blurred text is stored in the PDS, and the original text is stored in Cloudflare.

Handling of Public AT Protocol Data

To provide the service, display posts, maintain availability, and remain consistent with PDS data, this Site may obtain uk.skyblur.post records made public through Bluesky Jetstream and similar services and store them in Cloudflare. This also applies to public records created through compatible third-party clients or other services without directly using this Site.

As a general rule, this Site retains the latest state of each record and does not retain a cumulative history of changes. For records that this Site has detected as deleted from their PDS, the post body has been deleted.

Changes made in a PDS may take time to appear on this Site. If data published through the AT Protocol has been obtained or copied by a third party, this Site cannot control or delete copies held by that third party.

Attribution of Copyright

Copyright in content posted on this Site remains with the person who posted it. Users grant this Site permission to reproduce, store, transmit, and display that content only to the extent necessary to provide, synchronize, mirror, back up, authorize access to, and display the service. This permission does not transfer ownership of copyright.

Responsibility and Damages

Users must ensure that the content they post complies with applicable law and does not infringe the rights of third parties. If a user's post causes an issue or dispute with a third party, the user shall address it at their own responsibility and expense, except to the extent that the issue or dispute is attributable to the operator of this Site.

If a user suffers damage in connection with the use of this Site, the operator shall be responsible in accordance with applicable law to the extent that the damage is attributable to the operator. Unless caused by the operator's intentional misconduct or gross negligence, the operator's liability is limited to actual, ordinary, and direct damages.

Prohibited Actions

If this Site confirms, or has reasonable grounds to believe, that a user has engaged in any of the following conduct, it may take measures proportionate to the nature, severity, and urgency of the conduct, including issuing a warning, hiding posts, deleting data stored by this Site, restricting login or new posts, or imposing other necessary service restrictions. Measures may be taken without prior notice when urgently necessary or to prevent further harm.

Violating applicable law or infringing a third party's copyright, privacy, reputation, or other rights.
Threatening or harassing others, impersonating another person, or improperly disclosing personal information.
Posting child sexual abuse material or other content prohibited by law.
Sending spam, gaining unauthorized access, performing unauthorized automated actions, or interfering with the operation of this Site.
Evading moderation or usage restrictions imposed by another service.
Abusing the reporting channel, including by repeatedly submitting false reports.
Using this Site primarily as a chat or other means of communication between users rather than to publish obscured or long-form content for third parties to view.

Other

Part or all of a post is stored in a PDS. To delete your own post, use the delete function on this Site. To report another person's post as illegal or infringing, use the contact and reporting form. Hiding or deleting content on this Site does not guarantee deletion of data held by a PDS or a third party.
Synchronization between a PDS, Jetstream, and this Site's mirror is not guaranteed to be immediate or complete. External-service outages, delays, or specification changes may delay the display of posts or the application of deletions.
Even if the visibility scope is set to "Require login to view," login is required on this Site, but it is not guaranteed on other services.
This Site may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service when necessary for operational, technical, security, or legal reasons. Except in emergencies, notice will be provided in advance to the extent reasonably practicable.
These Terms apply to the use of this service. The terms or privacy policies of each provider may also apply to information processed by a PDS, Cloudflare, or another external service.

About Followers-only, Following-only, and Mutual-only Visibility Features

The determination of follower, following, and mutual follow statuses uses the API provided by Bluesky. These APIs may not reflect changes immediately. Therefore, immediately after following/unfollowing, the status update may be delayed.
Post content for followers-only, following-only, and mutual-only visibility may be reflected with a delay on this Site and third-party clients that support this feature.
Unblurred text for these posts is stored in Cloudflare, while obscured text is stored in the PDS.
- Backups of the unblurred text are maintained, but the completeness or availability of backups and the ability to recover data at all times are not guaranteed. The operator's responsibility for data loss is governed by the “Responsibility and Damages” section.
For these features, if a discrepancy occurs between the data on the PDS and the data stored on this Site, this Site will prioritize the data stored on this Site for rendering. For other visibility scopes, the PDS content is considered correct.
If similar features are implemented in the AT Protocol or PDS in the future, the specifications of these features may change significantly, and past data or settings may not be transferable.

About List-only Visibility

For List-only visibility, the URI of the Bluesky list selected by the author is stored in the PDS post record and in the private content storage on Cloudflare.
To check whether a viewer can access the post, this Site communicates with the Bluesky API, constellation, and PDSs related to the author or viewer, then verifies the relevant list item record.
List-only post content may appear with a delay on this Site and third-party clients that support this feature.
List visibility and membership depend on Bluesky-side data. Immediately after adding or removing an account from a list, authorization checks may be delayed.

Prohibition of Moderation Evasion

This service cannot be used for the purpose of evading moderation or usage restrictions on other services.

Additionally, some or all of the data posted through this service is stored on Personal Data Servers (PDS) that form part of a decentralized network. The terms and other conditions of the PDS and connected services used by a user may apply. Posts made through this service may be subject to action by a PDS or connected service if they are determined to violate those terms.

A user's content or a decision by a connected service may result in account suspension, restrictions, or other adverse consequences. This Site does not control or guarantee decisions or measures taken by a PDS or connected service. Any responsibility of the operator in connection with such matters is governed by the “Responsibility and Damages” section. Users must review and comply with the terms of each connected service.
